Mike LaBonte conducted the meeting.

Call for opens and IBIS related patent disclosures:

Opens:

- Bob: Will be unavailable Oct 8 through 18.
  - We will not meet Oct 7 and 14.

ARs:

- Bob write bug to eliminate ibischk -etc option
  - Done

- Mike post spreadsheet sent to Atul to work archive.
  - TBD

- Mike add comments to CMPNT, DLY, MSPEC sections
  - No new progress

IBISCHK message list cleanup:

- Bob: I had emailed comments on the CIRCUIT section.
- Bob showed spreadsheet circuit.xlsx.
- Bob: These were controlled by -etc, we can call them Unused.
  - CIRCUIT_ERR_29 might be valid, but we should just leave the code for possible future use.
  - We would have to create a testcase for it, and that might not be easy.
  - CIRCUIT_ERR_30 through CIRCUIT_ERR_33 do not make sense.
  - They will remain documented in the user guide.

- Bob showed the DLY portion of the full message spreadsheet.
- Mike: DLY_ERR_1 is empty.
  - All "line %s" could be changed to "line %d".
- We fixed DLY_ERR_1.

- Mike showed the MSPEC section.
- We fixed MSPEC_ERR_0.

- Mike showed the PACKAGE section.

AR: Mike update empty comments in PACKAGE section of message list.

- Bob will continue working on the CIRCUIT section.


IBISCHK -etc option:

- Mike showed mdl.c .
- Mike: MDL_ERR_43 gives an ERROR if Port_type is seen in [External Model].
  - Port_type is not a legal sub-parameter, it was private.
  - Was there a BIRD for this?
- We looked, but found no BIRD related to Port_type.
- Bob: We had only digital and analog ports at that time.
- Mike: That was indicated by D_* and A_* port names.
- Bob: That is only for reserved port names.

AR: Mike search full text of BIRDs for Port_type.

- Mike: We should disable all checks conditional on -etc, and MDL_ERR_43?
- Bob: We can discuss this at the next Open Forum.
